By downloading or using the Aipa Plate app (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Aipa Plate is an AI-powered calorie counter and photo food diary. The App helps you track meals, view calorie and macronutrient estimates, and see energy expenditure calculations (BMR, TEE).

The App is for informational purposes only. It does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or lifestyle.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use the App.
• You agree to provide accurate information (age, weight, height, activity level) for correct calculations.
• You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the information provided by the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App is free to use. If paid features are introduced, you will be informed in advance.

5. Data and Privacy

Your data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy:

• Personal data (name, email, weight, height, age, activity level, food diary photos) is stored in Firebase.
• Non-personal data (meal images or text descriptions) is processed by OpenAI for AI-based calculations.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any health outcomes, weight changes, or decisions made based on the information in the App.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated version.
