This Privacy Policy explains how Aipa Plate (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your data when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

2.1 Personal Data (stored in Firebase)

We collect and store the following personal data to calculate your daily energy needs and track your food diary:

• Name or nickname (if provided)
• Email address (if you register)
• Age, gender, height, weight, and physical activity level
• Food diary photos and other information about your meals (weight, calories, food preferences)

2.2 Non-Personal Data (processed via OpenAI)

• Text or image descriptions of meals sent to our AI for calorie estimation
• This data is anonymized before being sent to OpenAI and cannot be used to identify you

2.3 Device Information

• Device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports (for analytics and bug fixing)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To calculate calories and estimate your daily energy expenditure
• To provide you with automated calculations based on the data you enter
• To improve the accuracy of AI food recognition
• To maintain and improve the App’s performance

We do not sell your personal data.
The App does not provide medical or nutritional advice. All information is for informational purposes only.

4. How We Share Your Data

• Firebase (Google LLC) – personal data is securely stored and used for app functionality
• OpenAI (OpenAI OpCo, LLC) – only anonymized, non-personal data is processed for AI calculations
• Analytics – anonymized usage data to improve the App

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), and PIPEDA (Canada):

• Request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data
• Opt out of data processing where applicable
